Hello everyone,

I wanted to uninstall the drivers using DDU and when I started DDU I was advised to run windows in safe mode so I did. However, I didn't realise that I have had problems getting into the BIOS in the past (when I turned on the pc I only saw a black screen followed by windows login, nothing in between and pressing DEL didn't work). I've come to terms with that but now as I mentioned I've turned on windows in safe mode and now I only have a black screen. I tried all possible advice and nothing worked so I flashed the BIOS using the flash BIOS button (don't ask why I don't know). I successfully flash the bios but now I still have a black screen with no output. At first, the EZ debug LED was on to boot, but I turned on the pc with one RAM in slot A2 and the LED is no longer on, but I still have a black screen. I have tried multiple monitors, all ports, clear the CMOS but nothing works.

Specs are:
MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK
R5 5600X
XFX RX 580 GTR-S Black Edition 8GB
Enermax NAXN ENP550AWT 550W
G.Skill Trident Z 2 x 8 GB DDR4 2133 MHz

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

What if you hook your monitor up to the motherboard video output (instead of the video card), is there anything?

Are there any beeps / status codes?
Unfortunately my cpu doesnt have integrated graphics. No beeps, no status codes, just pure black screen. Interesting is that the led on monitor is staying active like something is happening. On the monitor it doesnt say “No signal” or “Cable not connected”

ok so, ddu in safe mode, black screen,

bios update, same thing

ez debug went away with 1 ram stick

sounds like could be a windows thing? have you checked your os drive? even unplug replug?

have you tried full unplug power down turn off psu for 10+ min?

could be bricked mobo but I am not sure, does your mobo still cycle the debug lights currently?

I did replug os drive, looks ok. I reseated all compononest.

Did not try unplug power for a longer time, gonna try it.

Yes, the ez debug leds looks to work properly (lights on cpu for couple of seconds, turns off, light on vga for couple of seconds, turns off and same with boot) It only skips ram led.

If your AMD computer shows no video output after a BIOS update, the first step is to reset the CMOS battery. This can resolve issues caused by the BIOS update interfering with the system's default settings. If that doesn't work, you might need to flash the BIOS back to a previous version.
