Like the title says, I was gaming for a few hours and it turned off completely instantly without warning or anything. Like the power went out (as I launched a game). Now when the PC turns on, all the hardware appears to be turning on fine, fans spin and power seems to be getting to each part, but no display ever shows to any monitor. I’ve tried two hdmi and two monitors that aren’t my normal ones which are typically displayports. When it does start up, the monitor does detect something turning on briefly but never connects, and the keyboard/mouse briefly light up. I do not have an integrated GPU so
I can’t test if it’s the GPU.

I’ve had no issues before this, my thought was PSU may be messed up? Or is this a GPU or motherboard problem?

Most motherboards have some sort of self diagnostic, either 4 colored leds for CPU, GPU, RAM and BOOT or, the more expensive models, show a number in the corner that indicates the problem. Take a look to see if you get some error indication.

This one doesn’t seem to, I’ve looked everywhere and it doesn’t have this. My machine before this did so I knew to look but I’ve looked everywhere and cannot find it on there. This is a pre built Alienware so not sure the motherboard model.

If its within warranty send it for service. The PSU may have fried something.
It’s 2 weeks past warranty. They said I would have to pay to send it in. I was maybe going to have somebody else locally look at it but I’m not sure if that $100 or so is worth it and I should just go ahead and send it in to them at Dell to fix and replace.
