My problem is ever since we had a major tornado storm last week My computer just keeps frezzing up like 5 to 6 times in a half hour where I have to hard restart right now im reseting bavk to factory reset hoping its just a driver issue. But I still need a Reliable psu for future proff prob gold Rating So I can upgrade Ram are video card in possible the am4 cpu to the x 3d
my budjet is 100 to 140 ish Thanks if you need more info let me know

How old is the PSU? History of heavy use for gaming, video editing?

Look in Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer.

Either one or both tools may be capturing some error codes, warnings, or even informational events just before or at the time of the freeze-ups.

Clicking any given entry may more more details. The details may or may not be helpful.

Overall though, there could be other reasons.

I'm trying to work out how a tornado could cause a driver malfunction. I'm wondering if it's hardware damage?

Over the years I've had two lightning strikes near my home which zapped broadband routers and network switches. Investigation showed blackened components and scorch marks on wall around the telephone sockets. I've switched to optical fibre to the premises, so that's one less vulnerability.

I'm not sure the psu is over 5 years old its a corsair 750 in the writing is in yellow I did a complete factory restore In I still get the Radeon Error report in it freezes up my screen I'm on my Asus rog strix Laptop I been getting the error more frequently since the storm. The gpu in like 4 to 5 years old got it when We got the stimulus checks from covid I went into game played around alt tab in it froze on me the errors are on my Main desktop for Streaming and Gaming
