Question No display on new Samsung smart monitor ?

I recently built a new PC with an RTX 5070 Ti and a Ryzen 9800X3D, which worked perfectly when connected to my Odyssey 95" G95SC monitor via DisplayPort. However, after the monitor was damaged, I decided to replace it with the same model.

Online, the "Smart" version of the monitor was $500 cheaper, so I ordered that instead. Upon setting it up, I was prompted to create a Samsung account and complete the initial setup. But now, when I switch to the DisplayPort input on the monitor, it doesn’t detect any signal. I also tried HDMI, but the issue persists.

Since my old monitor worked fine with the same setup, I’m not sure if the problem is with the new monitor’s ports, a compatibility issue with the graphics drivers, or something else entirely.

Im thankful for any help at all and if you need any clarification for software or hardware specs just let me know.

In order to rule out perhaps a driver or display output issue, hook your system up to a donor monitor and one which has both HDMI and DP inputs. Different cables would also be a good idea.

The problem with most TV's now is that you need to replace them with like for like parts.

include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

Thanks, I just updated the post with all of the information you requested, I will try to test on another monitor, however, I think it would work just fine on any donor monitor as I think the problem has to do with the monitor itself and the fact that it is the “smart” version with TV and media capabilities rather than just a normal monitor that you can plug in and have it work.

Does your computer show an available Display Resolution of 5,120 x 1,440 to match the monitor?
