News AMD RX 7000-series' high idle power draw finally appears to be fixed with the latest 23.12.1 drivers

Well, I based my statements on a few reviews, this one is in English: https://www.techspot.com/review/2721-amd-radeon-7900-gre/ It basically sits between RX6900 and 6950XT, I can find the card in EU at around 630-650€ in the cheapest places.

News AMD RX 7000-series' high idle power draw finally appears to be fixed with the latest 23.12.1 drivers

It's actually pretty available in EU, guess AMD segmented it away from US. That's sad because from what little is available it looks like it matches the best from AMDs last gen while being more power efficient and it's around 600-700€ in some shops, which means RX6950XT performance at RX6800XT...

News AMD RX 7000-series' high idle power draw finally appears to be fixed with the latest 23.12.1 drivers

Thanks for the news. @JarredWaltonGPU, do you think a RX7900 GRE review would ever be possible? Not a mainstream card but a quieter RX6950XT equivalent is a silent hit that didn't get the limelight.

Excellent analysis Jarred, do you think it would be possible to do something similar with the new ultra RT setting in CP2077?

News Yes, Intel's Feeble Arc A380 GPU Can Run Crysis

I found a good guess about ARC performance by replacing ARC with RX. Imagine an alternare world where AMD kept going with GCN and Polaris and simply used smaller nodes with RT tacked on, ARC 380 does perform a lot like a RX380...

News Intel Relaxes Hiring Policy, as It Searches for More Talent

AMD FSR vs. Nvidia DLSS: Which Upscaler Reigns Supreme?

To be fair, FSR and DLSS have different aims and different lengths of development time. Personally I would love NVIDIA to commit more to their vectorized textures research (which would make them resolution free) and AMD to deepen FSR using a stronger integration with gaming engines (possibly it...

Review AMD Radeon RX 6600 Review: RDNA2 Goes Mainstream at $329

Looks like it doesn't matter. Apparently the RX6600 is retailing for close to 600€ so it's an hard pass for me. I'll stick to my current strategy of playing the AMD weekly lottery and build my PC around whatever I will get from there. What a shame, this seemed such a good generation for an...

Review AMD Radeon RX 6600 Review: RDNA2 Goes Mainstream at $329

Luckily it's not a branded PC but a custom build. In my case I would use the RX590 to replace my wife's HD7970 and get the RX6600 for myself IF I can get it at MSRP. If not, I will keep playing lottery at AMD's website in the hope of getting something realistically priced.

Review AMD Radeon RX 6600 Review: RDNA2 Goes Mainstream at $329

Hi Jarred, would you suggest this card as an upgrade from a RX590 in an older PC (i7-3770k)? Thanks!

Review AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT Review: The Memory Compromise

I know this is a lot to ask but given the ridicolous MSRP you might want to design a benchmark of discounted games (you could use isthereanydeal to see which ones have been at least once 50% off) that would be good to use with lower end cards or ones available used for acceptable prices...

News Intel Xe DG1 Benchmarked: Battle of the Weakling GPUs

Given the current situation any new entry in the GPU market is welcome. Intel, Zhaoxin entering or even if someday Matrox will want to get back in the game would mean more GPUs in the hands of the gamers. Price/performance ratio has been stagnant and the current generation could have been the...
